Mental Coaching / Psychological Aspects in Football: Conference
Our next conference will focus on the practical aspects of psychological support for football players and mental coaching, including work with teams and staff.
When? Wednesday, April 21 at 8:30 PM. The conference will start promptly at 8:30 PM (access from 8:15 PM) and end around 9:45 PM.

For whom? Sports staff (coaches, trainers, etc.), athletes, parents…
What? The program will be as follows:
Part 1: The role of the sports psychologist in football (psychological support, coaching, mental preparation for matches, recovery strategies, emotional regulation, maintaining focus during frustration, mistakes or ball loss, confidence in duels, switching between combativeness and relaxation, dealing with non-selection or reduced playtime, injury management). Techniques used (examples such as reinforcement, mental imagery, anchoring), club interventions (individual coaching, group work, coach support, collaboration with staff…), balancing high-level sport/family/school life, integrating youth players into the first team…
Part 2: Q&A session – attendees are invited to ask practical questions related to mental preparation or sports psychology in football.

Manuel Dupuis is a sports psychologist and mental coach since 2003, working with professional football players in Belgium and abroad (Psychosport since 2005, Sporting Charleroi for 7 years, Union Saint-Gilloise for 4 years, Association of Francophone Football Clubs for 7 years…).
